Cara was born as the third and last daughter of Pandora Anne Delevingne and the real estate developer Charles Hamar Delevingne. Her other two sisters are: Chloe Delevingne and Poppy Delevingne, with the latter, also play the role of model. Although she was born in Hammersmith district, her childhood developed in Belgravia, known as one of the richest neighborhoods in England and the world. Her school education was taught at the Francis Holland School for Girls, which is located in London.
Until the age of 16, she remained enrolled in Francis Holland because she decided to abandon her studies there. The reason behind this is due to various problems she maintained in her teens, including the condition a disease known as dyspraxia, which led to complications in her student life and a long period in which she was mired in depression.
For these reasons she decided to move to a new educational institution, the selected one would be Bedales School, an establishment located in Hampshire County, this institution concentrated mostly focused on the field of dramatic art. In spite of this, the idea regarding performing an acting work still did not show a high interest in her life, so she preferred to opt for the same field in which her older sister played: modeling.
Her foray into the world of modeling began from a very early age, at approximately 10 years of age, when she appeared in an article for Vogue magazine in Italy, in the company of the Lady Eloise Anson model. Finally, after completing her studies in 2009, she would sign the agency Strom Model Management (SMM).
In 2011, it would be part of the Authentic Collection campaign belonging to the Swedish chain of clothing, accessories and cosmetics stores H&M (Hennes & Mauritz AB). Similarly, the British luxury fashion brand Burberry insisted that Cara Delevingne be its advertising image for the launch of the spring-summer 2011 collection.
